Medical Association: SNS framework for 2026-28 falls short of what's needed

The Medical Association considered that the SNS framework for 2026-2028 falls short of what's needed to meet the health system's needs. The entity understands that the National Health Service is going through a critical moment in which it needs to recover capacity, increase access to healthcare and attract professionals to the sector. According to the Medical Association, the governmental response to these challenges cannot be about lowering the targets established for the health system. The organization led by doctors thus reinforces its position that more ambitious measures are needed to guarantee the sustainability and quality of the SNS.
