The Cantinho Etnográfico is a small museum space located in Ponta Delgada, on the island of São Miguel, in the Azores, which opened to the public in 1996 with the aim of preserving and sharing some of the customs, arts and traditions characteristic of the Azorean region.
The permanent exhibition of ethnographic miniatures was inaugurated on February 27, 1996 by Floriberto Melo, who is responsible for creating this cultural project.
The museum features hundreds of artisanal pieces that represent, in miniature, various aspects of local culture and traditions, allowing visitors to take a journey to the past of the island of São Miguel.
The space offers a unique experience of immersion in Azorean cultural heritage, showing through the miniatures how the island's inhabitants lived and practiced their traditions over time.
