The Figueira da Foz will host the World University Beach Sports Championship between September 16 and 22, 2026.

The competition is expected to bring together around 600 athletes, coaches, and officials from 31 countries, according to information provided by the local council.

For one week, the Figueira beach will be the center of international university sports with this large-scale competition.
