A trailer valued at about 5,000 euros, stolen on August 5 in the municipality of Maia, was recovered by the GNR in Paços de Ferreira. The operation took place on Friday, September 4, carried out by the Maia Territorial Sub-detachment, of the Porto Territorial Command.
As part of the investigation, the military identified a 26-year-old man as a suspect of the theft. A home search warrant was issued, which allowed the location and recovery of the stolen trailer, subsequently returned to its legitimate owner.
During the same operation, the GNR also discovered a vehicle that had been the target of a breach of trust crime, which was also recovered and returned to the owner.
The 26-year-old man was made a formal defendant and the facts were referred to the Judicial Court of Maia. The investigation continues under judicial terms.
