An 18-year-old young man was arrested by the Judicial Police of Setúbal under strong suspicion of repeatedly raping his sister, a child of only nine years of age. The investigation indicates that the student took advantage of the moments when he was alone with his sister during school holidays to commit the crimes.
The mother of the children believed that the older son stayed home during school holidays to take care of his younger sister. This appearance of family devotion was apparently the disguise used by the young man to have access to the child without supervision.
The operation that led to the suspect's arrest was carried out by the Judicial Police of Setúbal, which gathered sufficient evidence to present the young man to the Public Prosecutor's office. The case involves serious crimes of a sexual nature against a minor, aggravating the circumstances already serious of the allegedly committed acts.
