A 28-year-old man was injured following a crash that occurred in the early hours of this Wednesday, on Rua da Ribeira, in Machico, near the Health Centre. The accident happened around 01:20, when the driver lost control of the vehicle, which ended up crashing into the safety rail of the Ribeira de Machico.
The Machico Municipal Firefighters were dispatched to the scene to provide assistance. The young man had abrasions from the impact and was treated at the scene by the firefighters.
After receiving first aid, the injured man was taken to the Emergency Department of the Machico Health Centre for additional medical care.
