The Municipality of Vale de Cambra will invest a total of 42,000 euros in hiring a therapist focused on supporting students with a confirmed diagnosis or early suspicion of autism. The investment comes as a response to the growing number of children and young people identified with this condition in the municipality.
Among the universe of 2,597 students from preschool to 12th grade, 42 students are in this situation. This number represents a significant increase that prompted the municipality to reinforce the support available to these children and their families.
The hired therapist will ensure the monitoring and follow-up of these students, seeking to guarantee adequate responses to their specific needs. The municipal council justifies the investment as an essential measure to ensure the inclusion and academic success of these students.
