The Horta Maritime Police seized 1.4 kilograms of a product suspected of being cocaine on the maritime shoreline of Corvo island, in the Azores. The operation was carried out this week by officers from the Local Command of the Maritime Police.
The officers detected and collected a package that contained the product suspected of being a narcotic substance. Cautionary measures and evidence preservation measures were immediately adopted to guarantee the integrity of the evidence.
The rapid reaction tests on the substance were carried out in collaboration with the Public Security Police. The test results were positive for cocaine, confirming the nature of the seized product.
