The Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky, asked for an air truce during the trips of Donald Trump's envoys to Moscow and Kiev. Zelensky guaranteed the safety of Russian airspace during the visit of Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to the Russian capital.
Zelensky also called on Russia to suspend attacks on Ukraine during the period when the American envoys are traveling between Moscow and Kiev.
During these events, a Russian strike hit directly the headquarters of the intelligence services in Kiev, causing damage to the building's infrastructure.
The envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner represent the diplomatic efforts of the Trump administration to mediate the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
