The Santa Clara Football Club Pavilion was christened with the name of Colonel Álvaro Seco, former club president, in a tribute ceremony organized by the current board. The decision to perpetuate the former president's name in the sports venue was made by the board led by Bruno Santos.
Colonel Álvaro Seco himself attended the ceremony and expressed himself deeply honored by having his name given to the pavilion. During the tribute moment, the former president recalled the club's history and shared memories of his journey leading the institution.
In his speech, Álvaro Seco did not spare praise for the current Santa Clara leaders, expressing pride in how the club has been managed and developed in recent years. This was the first insignia awarding ceremony of the club, an important milestone in the history of the Azorean institution.
