An attack occurred on a tourist camp belonging to football coach Carlos Queiroz in Niassa province, Mozambique. The incident resulted in the death of one person and the displacement of approximately 2000 people from the region.

The camp was completely looted, burned, and vandalized during the attack. The authorities have not yet identified those responsible for the violent action.

Carlos Queiroz is a well-known Portuguese football coach who has previously managed Mozambique's national team, as well as other teams and national sides around the world. The attacked camp operated as a tourism enterprise in the northern region of the country.
