A forest fire broke out this morning at Lugar da Serra, in the parish of Campanário, near the access road to the Boqueirão area. The fire mobilized five fire brigades and an aerial resource to combat the flames.
According to a fire brigade source, there are three ground resources from the Mixed Firefighters of Ribeira Brava and Ponta do Sol on site, as well as the aerial resource from the Regional Civil Protection Service. Resources from brigades in Funchal, Câmara de Lobos and Calheta were also mobilized, in a triangulation combat operation.
