The 11 municipalities that make up the Intermunicipal Community of Lezíria do Tejo unanimously elected the governing bodies of Transportes da Lezíria do Tejo, EIM, S.A., an intermunicipal company created to ensure the management and development of the public service of collective passenger transport in the region. The election took place at the first General Assembly of the company.
Luís Filipe Santana Dias was chosen to take on the presidency of Transportes da Lezíria do Tejo. During his inauguration, he promised to "transform mobility in the region", presenting as the main objective the improvement of public passenger transport services in Lezíria do Tejo.
The intermunicipal company was constituted specifically to manage and develop collective passenger transport services in the region, representing a joint effort of the 11 municipalities that make up the Intermunicipal Community of Lezíria do Tejo.
