The candidate for governor of Amapá Dr. Furlan (PSD), former mayor of Macapá, was caught on video arranging a statement with a voter for his campaign. In the recording, he instructs the woman, identified as Marivane, to introduce herself as a security guard and ask a question about authorizing the return of security guards to state schools, one of his campaign proposals.
The video produced by the candidate's team with the arranged statement was published on August 27. The recording of the moment when the lines were rehearsed circulates on social media profiles opposed to Furlan.
The case was documented by the opposition team and shows the attempt to stage a real campaign situation, where an ordinary voter would ask the candidate about his proposals. The practice raises questions about the authenticity of the content presented in electoral advertising.
