Fuel prices have soared in Castellón, with gasoline becoming more expensive than diesel in some locations. This situation arises with the return to normalcy after the holiday period, in addition to the usual "cuesta de septiembre" (September challenge) and the increase in inflation.
The beginning of the new month brought changes in fuel price control measures. The government increased the diesel A subsidy from 10 to 20 cents per liter, representing a reduction of 10 cents in the final price for consumers.
In the opposite direction, the gasoline subsidy was reduced from 10 to just 5 cents per liter, contributing to the increase in the price of this fuel. This reduction of support contrasts with the increased aid for diesel, creating a situation where gasoline has become more expensive than diesel in certain areas.
