The port of Vinaròs has been registering in recent weeks the recurring arrival of vessels linked to the Italian fleet, the majority coming from Sicily. The Italian boats are unloading 22 tons of swordfish at the Vinaròs facility.
The Italian marlin fishing vessels are using the port of Vinaròs as a base to land significant quantities of swordfish. This activity once again highlights the Mediterranean dimension of the Vinaròs fish market.
The phenomenon demonstrates the growing internationalization of unloading operations at the Spanish port, which has attracted fleets from other Mediterranean countries to use its facilities.
