Restructuring of APA and ICNF is 'practically ready', says Environment Minister

The restructuring of the Portuguese Environment Agency (APA) and the Institute for Nature Conservation and Forests (ICNF) is "practically ready", according to the Minister of Environment. The announcement was made by the official responsible for the Environment portfolio.

In May, the Government announced that APA and ICNF would be restructured. The main objective of this reorganization is to create a "profound simplification of licensing processes".

APA and ICNF are the two Portuguese public entities responsible for environmental and forest management in Portugal. Their restructuring aims to optimize and streamline procedures related to environmental and project licensing.
