An attack on a tourist camp belonging to Portuguese coach Carlos Queiroz in Mozambique caused at least one dead and about two thousand displaced. The attackers set fire to vehicles, a health center and a police station in the area.
The camp was located in an area whose concession was attributed by the Mozambican government in 2014. Since the moment of the attack, communications with the affected region have not been possible.
The incident raises concerns about security in the area and the humanitarian impact on the local population, with thousands of people forced to flee their homes.
