An attack on coach Carlos Queiroz's tourist camp in Mozambique resulted in the death of at least one person and the displacement of two thousand people. The attackers set vehicles on fire, a health centre and a police station in the camp area.
Carlos Queiroz, the well-known football coach who has previously managed the national teams of Portugal, Iran and Colombia, is responsible for the tourist camp in the region. Since the moment of the attack, there have been no communications with the affected area.
The Mozambican government granted the concession of the site to the camp in 2014. The situation remains without an update on the condition of the remaining residents or workers at the camp, given the isolation of the area after the violence.
