The Prosecutor's Office presented a report before Judge María Tardón in which it considers that the National Court is competent to investigate the migratory crisis in Ceuta. The report argues that the National Court should take on the case.
According to the Prosecutor's Office's opinion, a substantial part of the planning phase, mobilization, logistical coordination, digital dissemination and eventual strategic direction took place on Moroccan territory. The material execution of the action, the intended result and the most relevant effects occurred on Spanish territory.
The press release disseminated to the media details that this territorial division of facts justifies the competence of Spanish justice for the case, since the most significant effects of the migratory crisis occurred on Spanish soil.
