The Loures City Council will distribute five thousand bracelets that detect substances in drinks, commonly known as the "date rape drug". The distribution is scheduled for September 5.
The bracelets are intended to help prevent cases of sexual assault associated with the consumption of substances such as GHB, known as the "date rape drug", which can be discreetly added to alcoholic drinks.
This initiative by the local authority aims to protect especially young people who frequent nightlife venues, providing them with an additional security tool during their nights out.
The Loures City Council thus reinforces its commitment to the prevention of sexual crimes, through practical measures to protect citizens.
