The STF is experiencing a new crisis after the disclosure of conversations between former banker Daniel Vorcaro and authorities, including Justice Alexandre de Moraes, within the scope of the investigations into Banco Master. Columnist Felipe Recondo, from the newspaper O Globo, commented on the case on CBN Studio this Friday (4).
According to Recondo, the crisis did not arise from a vacuum, as there were already suspicions at the STF even before the disclosure of the conversations. He stated that there was already suspicion surrounding the agents who are investigating, both the Master Case and the INSS Case, about the decisions and positions of each one.
The columnist also revealed that the government was suspicious of Justice André Mendonça, believing that the electoral calendar would influence his decisions on certain investigations. The scenario described by Recondo is one of "every man for himself" among the justices of the court.
