On social media, images circulate of fake R$3 bills with the faces of both players, with the words "judas," "mercenary," and "traitor." Fans also report that they will change their stadium sections to get closer to Palmeiras' bench during the match.
Botafogo is in 12th place in the Brasileirão with 30 points and has not won in four matches in the competition, which has brought the relegation zone closer. Palmeiras, on the other hand, needs the victory to avoid being overtaken by Flamengo, which has 51 points.
