The Prime Minister Montenegro indicated that the fuel discount already amounts to 700 million euros this year. This support measure for consumers has been applied by the government to mitigate the impact of rising fuel prices on citizens' lives.
Montenegro admitted that new measures may be implemented if fuel prices remain at the level of the last four weeks. This possibility arises in a context of concern about the evolution of energy costs and their effect on household economy.
The executive led by Montenegro has been monitoring the evolution of prices and continuously evaluates the need to adjust support policies for the population. The sustainability of these measures and their impact on public accounts are also factors considered in these decisions.
