A man was detained outside of flagrant delict in Montalegre, in the district of Vila Real, for suspected of having set a fire. The fire in question occurred on August 18 in the locality of Solveira.
The suspect was brought before the court, where coercive measures were applied. Among the imposed measures is the obligation of weekly presentations to the authorities.
The authorities continue to investigate the exact circumstances of the fire that destroyed a vegetation area in Solveira. The case remains under investigation by local authorities.
