The Directorate-General for Health issued an alert about the poor air quality due to the presence of dust from North Africa. This situation is affecting the atmospheric conditions in mainland Portugal.
The suspended dust is mainly affecting the Center and South regions of the country. The situation is expected to continue until Saturday, according to the warning issued by the health authorities.
The DGS recommends that the population follow the evolution of the meteorological conditions and take appropriate precautions given the decrease in air quality.
