The play "Something False Is Here", directed by Stella Rabello, is playing at Teatro Poeirinha until October 25. The play uses the metaphor of everyday "earthquakes" to explore what happens when two people meet, building a reflection on human relationships, loneliness and the feeling of incompleteness. Sessions take place Thursday to Saturday at 8pm, and Sundays at 7pm, lasting 80 minutes.
On stage, a couple invites the audience to watch their own breakup, while two best friends revisit memories from childhood until the moment of separation. From these encounters and missed connections, four characters multiply into ten or even 8,849 versions, mixing past and present in a narrative that crosses the beginnings and ends of life, the world and affections.
The play combines humor, delirium and melancholy to address a central question: why does it always seem like something is missing? The play investigates the encounters that change everything, alternating between the absurd and real life to deal with universal themes such as interpersonal relationships and the feeling of incompleteness.
