The Municipal Library of Silves will host, on September 19 at 5:30 PM, a session of the Tertúlia Insurgente series, promoted by the Municipality of Silves. The initiative under the theme "Education in the Development of Children and Young People – from Parents to School!" will take place in the Auditorium of the Municipal Library and will be moderated by teacher Telma Caroço.
The session features the participation of clinical psychologist and psychotherapist Inês Afonso Marques, who has 21 years of clinical experience in different contexts, including public and private schools, companies and private clinical practice. Throughout her career, she has dedicated special attention to the areas of childhood, adolescence, parenting and neurodevelopment, advocating for an approach focused on the potential of each child and young person.
According to the Municipality of Silves, the colloquium aims to promote reflection and debate around the role of education in the development of children and young people, highlighting the importance of knowing and understanding their characteristics, needs and ways of being at each stage of growth. The role of the family, the school and the relationships that are established throughout development will also be addressed.
Participation is open to parents, educators, teachers, technicians and other community members interested in reflecting on the challenges of education. For more information, interested parties can contact the Municipal Library of Silves through the phone number 282 440 899 or the email address [email protected].
