The Municipality of Évora signed on September 4, in the Noble Hall of the City Hall, an institutional cooperation protocol with the Portuguese Football Federation and the Évora Football Association to promote the development of football, futsal, beach football, walking football, and esports in the region, covering from youth categories to senior levels. The ceremony was part of the celebrations for the centenary of the Évora Football Association, to which the local government decided to award the city's Gold Medal.

The Vice-President of Évora City Council, Jerónimo José, announced that the presentation of the Gold Medal to AFE will take place on November 25, coinciding with the 40th anniversary of the classification of Évora's historic center as World Heritage. The protocol signing was attended by the President of the FPF, Pedro Proença, and António Pereira from AFE.

Based on this document, the FPF and ADR commit to collaborating with the Municipality in developing a strategic plan that enhances sports practice in the municipality, strengthens community involvement, and allows for greater sporting, social, and economic impact in the region. The protocol also establishes the foundation for the creation, promotion, and organization of joint initiatives and events at national and international levels.

Also that morning, the FPF's "Unidos pelo Futebol" initiative took place at Continente, during which a check was presented to AFE for the promotion of the sport. Additionally, an exhibition dedicated to the trophies recently won by the National Teams is on display at the City Hall building, which can be visited until Monday, September 7.
