US Open: Two-time champion Sabalenka reaches round of 16, Nuno Borges eliminated in doubles

The two-time US Open champion Aryna Sabalenka advanced to the round of 16 of the women's singles draw at the tournament. The Belarusian player, who is seeking to win the title for the third consecutive time at Flushing Meadows, continues in the competition after her passage this round.
