The Municipal Library of Silves hosts on September 19 at 5:30 PM another session of the Tertúlia Insurgente series, dedicated to the theme "Education in the Development of Children and Youth – from Parents to School!" The initiative will be moderated by teacher Telma Caroço and aims to debate the role of education in the development of children and young people, as well as the importance of understanding and comprehending their characteristics, needs, and ways of being at each stage of growth.
The guest for this tertúlia is clinical psychologist and psychotherapist Inês Afonso Marques, who brings 21 years of clinical experience. Throughout her career, she has worked with various age groups, dedicating particular attention to the areas of childhood, adolescence, parenting, and neurodevelopment. She advocates for an approach centered on the potential of each child and young person and the importance of emotional relationships for harmonious and healthy growth.
Inês Afonso Marques is also the author of several works on education and parenting, including "It Is So Good to Make Friends," "We Grow Together: 365+1 Inspirations for Happy Parenting," "Learning Through Play," "Dreaming With the Rainbow," "Confident Children, Capable Children," "Growing Pains," and most recently, "How to Raise a Teenager with Confidence."
