The Portuguese Government classified the motion of no confidence presented by the Chega party as "theater without consequences". The executive's reaction comes in response to the political initiative of the far-right party.
Government member Leitão Amaro was the chosen voice to comment on the motion. In his statements, he stated that the executive will not be distracted by this parliamentary initiative.
According to Leitão Amaro, the Government will maintain focus on its priorities, namely on solutions for the problems of the Portuguese. This position reflects the executive's strategy to minimize the political impact of the motion of no confidence.
