The president of the French far-right party National Rally, Jordan Bardella, stated today that the United Kingdom and France "will shape together the future" of Europe during a speech at the congress of the British Reform Party (Reform UK). Bardella participated in this event that brought together right-wing and far-right parties from various European countries.
The National Rally leader guaranteed that, if his party wins the presidential elections in 2027, he will do everything in his power to stop irregular immigration in France. The party is currently led in the French parliament by presidential candidate Marine Le Pen.
This intervention is part of a strategy of rapprochement between far-right parties from different European countries, at a time when these political forces have gained significant ground in several member states of the European Union.
