The amount received monthly by these workers is close to the average of other private sector employees. However, when considering the number of hours worked, the hourly pay ends up being lower.
The workdays of delivery riders and app drivers are longer than those of traditional employees. This happens because many need to work more hours to reach similar income.
Additionally, these workers do not have the same labor rights guaranteed to CLT employees, such as paid vacation, Christmas bonus, and retirement contributions. The flexibility promised by platforms does not always translate into financial advantages for professionals.
