30 million 'bitcoins' collection may be behind the crime that victimized Mexican musician, woman and minor daughter

Expresso4 September 2026 at 15:43

Diego "N", a close associate of Jonathan Meléndez, keyboardist of the Mexican band Camilo Séptimo, is suspected of having murdered the musician, his pregnant wife, the couple's three-year-old daughter and the family nanny. The crime is believed to have been committed for financial reasons, specifically related to a collection of 30 million bitcoins.

The authorities believe that Diego "N" planned and carried out the quadruple homicide with the aim of obtaining economic advantages. The investigation indicates that the motive for the crime is directly linked to this million-dollar financial demand in cryptocurrency.

Jonathan Meléndez was known as the keyboardist of the band Camilo Séptimo, a Mexican music project of some popularity. In addition to the musician, the victims include his wife, who was pregnant, the couple's three-year-old daughter, and the person responsible for caring for the family.

The case is being investigated by Mexican authorities, who are working to clarify all the details of the crime and confirm Diego "N"'s involvement in the homicides.
