Registrations are open for an Artistic Residence in Caldelas, titled "The Square", a project developed in collaboration with A TRAMA, Associação Cultural. The initiative is aimed at participants over 12 years of age.
The participants are invited to observe, imagine and inhabit characters inspired by simple gestures, recurring attitudes, circulation rhythms and small anonymous actions that compose the collective life of a place. Throughout the residence, exercises of listening, improvisation and collective composition are carried out, through which scenic material is built made of fragments, including entrances and exits, crossings, waits, approaches and distances.
The final performance is presented as a living score of characters in constant transformation, where there are no central protagonists, but rather a sensitive and plural portrait of the community in action. The ordinary reveals itself as poetic and shared space affirms itself as a place of coexistence, imagination and mutual recognition.
