Vila Nova de Cerveira hosts, between September 11 and 13, the fifth edition of the Pizza Festival, at Praça Alto Minho. The event, which returns with new flavors and more entertainment, brings together gastronomy, music, culture and entertainment inspired by Italian tradition, including for the first time sweet pizza among the gastronomic offerings.

The program includes the competitive aspect with the Trofeo Pizzaiolo Alto Minho, aimed at professional pizza makers. This year brings the new Trofeo Pizzaiolo Amador, open to the general public upon registration, for participants with a passion for cooking and pizza making.

The festival features entertainment moments such as a Sunset with DJ and Italian music, at a circular bar in Praça Alto Minho. The official opening, scheduled for September 11, will feature a performance by local dancer Rubén Sá with the show "Sarà perché ti amo!", and the participation of Italian chef Sérgio Crivelli, who returns to reinforce the gastronomic component dedicated to Italian tradition.

The Pizza Festival is organized by the City Council of Vila Nova de Cerveira, in partnership with the Associazione Sapori Italiani, with the participation of local pizzerias Piazza and Di Angelo.
