The façade of Olhão's Town Hall was the stage, on August 28, of a videomapping show that revisited two centuries of the Municipal Council's history. For about 70 minutes, the event "200 years in movement", held at Largo Sebastião Martins Mestre, used audiovisual projections to recover significant moments and protagonists from the institution's journey, combining technology, theatre and memory.
The Olhão community played an active role in the initiative, with the participation of members from the Senior University, the Olhão Senior Theatre Group, AlmaMonca and young people from the Hugo Charrão Municipal Youth House. These participants joined the professional actors from Artelier – Street Theatre, contributing to a show that sought to bridge different generations and artistic languages.
Throughout the night, the narrative about the 200 years of history of Olhão's Municipal Council was projected on the façade of the Town Hall, giving a new dimension to the building. The initiative was part of the commemorative programme for the Municipality's Bicentennial and transformed the city centre into a space for encounter between local history, the community and artistic creation.
