The independent movement Amar e Servir Real, Dume e Semelhe (ASRDS), in Braga, accused the secretary of the Parish Council of the Union of Parishes of Real, Dume and Semelhe of adopting an "antidemocratic" and "intimidating" posture towards women elected to the Parish Assembly. The accusation was made through a statement issued by the movement.
The secretary in question was elected by the Socialist Party. ASRDS considers that the secretary's behavior represents a threat to the democratic functioning of the parish assembly, particularly regarding the treatment reserved for women deputies.
The independent movement publicly expressed its position on the situation, demanding that democratic principles and equal treatment among elected members of the assembly be respected. The accusation aims to draw attention to what ASRDS describes as an inappropriate posture on the part of a local political representative.
