The Deputy of Iniciativa Liberal (IL) in the Azores parliament, Nuno Barata, harshly criticized the regional executive, stating that the Region "is failing in the construction of a political community". The statements were made today, during a speech in the Azorean legislative assembly.
Nuno Barata went further in his criticism, considering that the current Government of the Azores is, "possibly the worst Government in the history of Autonomy". This is a serious accusation in a context in which the political autonomy of the Azores has already completed several decades since its implementation.
Iniciativa Liberal, a liberal right-wing party, has been taking a stance in opposition to the regional executive. Nuno Barata, as a representative of IL in the Azorean parliament, has been taking a critical tone regarding the actions of the Government led by the PS in the Azores.
The news was published by acores9.pt, which reported the accusations of the liberal deputy against the regional executive.
