SPM criticizes teacher placements and announces protest measures

The Madeira Teachers' Union (SPM) will hold on Monday, September 7, at 11:30 AM, a press conference at the union headquarters to analyze the teacher placement process in the Autonomous Region of Madeira.

The SPM criticizes the measures adopted by the Regional Education Secretariat (SRE), pointing to a growing precariousness of tenured teachers in the region.

The union also points to the alleged concealment of teacher shortages and the degradation of the professional conditions of Madeira teachers.

The press conference marks the beginning of protest measures that the SPM intends to adopt in response to the current situation in the education sector in the region.
