One of the most well-known journalists from Bashar al-Assad's regime was detained in Syria. The journalist, identified as Al Khodr, gained prominence for her support of the Syrian government during the conflict that ravaged the country.
Al Khodr held a public relations position in the Syrian prime minister's office during the same period she was known for her media coverage favorable to the Assad regime.
The detention occurred in Syrian territory, raising questions about the circumstances and reasons behind her arrest, given her previous alignment with the government she now finds herself opposing.
