Supreme Federal Court (STF) Minister Flávio Dino stated in a social media post that overcoming institutional crises depends on respect for legal procedures, time, and loyalty to institutions. He wrote that the Supreme Court "is greater than anyone who integrates it" and that problems must be faced "with due legal process and at the right time."
The statement comes amid a crisis within the STF itself. On Thursday (3), Minister Alexandre de Moraes pointed to evidence of crimes committed by André Mendonça in investigations related to the Banco Master scandal and the illegal INSS discounts.
Moraes cited "strong evidence" of administrative improbity, abuse of authority, crimes of responsibility, and favoritism toward certain political groups. The statement was entered into the Fake News inquiry based on an intelligence report from the Federal Police produced at Moraes's request.
