The Socialist Party will vote against the motion of censure presented by Chega against the Government. The position was announced by the Socialist parliamentary leader, Eurico Brilhante Dias, who defined the party's voting orientation on this matter.
The decision still needs to be formalised by the party's bodies, but the orientation is already defined. The PS votes are decisive for the rejection of the initiative, given the current composition of the Assembly of the Republic.
The vote on the motion of censure should take place after the conclusion of the internal process within the party. Chega, a right-wing populist party, presented the motion against the Executive, but the position announced by the PS makes its approval unlikely.
