Schools in Castelo Branco can now register for the new edition of the "Fruit Heroes" school program, for the 2026/27 academic year. The initiative is promoted by APCOI – Portuguese Association Against Childhood Obesity, which has opened applications for this edition of the program.
The "Fruit Heroes" program is aimed at pre-school and primary school classes across the country, also covering the Autonomous Regions of Madeira and the Azores. The objective of the initiative is to promote healthy eating habits among school-age children.
APCOI is the entity responsible for coordinating and implementing this educational program, which aims to raise awareness among young people about the importance of consuming fruit as part of a balanced and healthy diet.
