The Parish of Assomada celebrated the festivities in honor of Our Lady of Sorrows and the Blessed Sacrament on September 25, 26 and 27. The program combined religious moments with cultural entertainment throughout the three days of festivities.
On Friday, September 25, the celebrations began with the recitation of the Novena and the celebration of the Eucharist at 8:00 PM. The musical lineup featured the band De Passagem at 9:00 PM, followed by DJ Oxy starting at 11:00 PM, with closing expected at 1:00 AM.
On Saturday, September 26, the religious aspect was highlighted at 5:00 PM with the celebration of the Eucharist dedicated to Our Lady of Sorrows, followed by the traditional procession accompanied by a brass band. The musical entertainment was provided by Ernesto Macedo Duo at 8:00 PM, Atlantic Vibes Trio at 10:00 PM and DJ Coromoto at midnight.
The last day of festivities, Sunday, September 27, began with the Eucharist of the Blessed Sacrament at 5:00 PM, followed by a solemn procession with brass band. The cultural program included the Casa do Povo de Gaula Folklore Group, a Zumba-Fitness demonstration by Team-Associação FT "Carina Pestana" and the closing was provided by the duo Sandra and Ricardo, with entertainment ending at midnight.
