The document, titled "Caring for Our Common Home – A Responsible and Fraternal Response to the Trinitarian God," was published this week with the authorization of Pope Leo XIV. The publication represents an official position of the Catholic Church on environmental issues.
The text highlights that the ecological question is also theological, establishing a connection between faith and care for the environment. According to the document, the way humans care for nature reveals and shapes their relationship with God, making environmental preservation a matter of spirituality.
