The Alpiarça Velodrome, at the Dr. Raúl José das Neves Stadium, hosts on Saturday, September 5, a Portugal Track Cup event, corresponding to the fourth round of the 2026 edition. The competition starts at 9:00 AM and marks the return of the sport to Alpiarça after the municipality hosted this competition for the first time on April 25.
The event brings together athletes from across the country, from youth, cadet and junior categories, male and female. In the youth categories, kilometre and scratch races are scheduled, while cadets and juniors will compete in scratch, elimination and points race.
The Alpiarça track hosted its first Portugal Track Cup stage on April 25, in an event that also marked the competition's debut outside the National Velodrome of Sangalhos in Anadia.
The holding of another event in Alpiarça reinforces the commitment to the municipality's track as a venue for national track cycling competitions.
