The Municipality of Borba and the Artistic and Cultural Union of Borba (UACB) signed on September 3rd a loan agreement for the transfer of the former Nora School building. The 20-year agreement will allow UACB to establish its headquarters in that space and create conditions to develop its various artistic and cultural activities.
The transfer also represents an opportunity to recover and give new use to a building that is part of the local heritage, placing it back at the service of the community. The use of the former Nora School by UACB will allow life to be returned to a space that gains a new function, now linked to artistic creation and associative activity.
With this initiative, the Municipality of Borba reinforces its commitment to associativism and cultural promotion, recognizing the role of associations in promoting civic participation, culture, and community cohesion. The municipality thus maintains its commitment to supporting the associations of the county and valuing the built heritage, finding new ways to put it at the service of culture and citizens.
