The 28th São Paulo International Book Fair starts this Friday (4th) and will occupy 86,000 square meters at Anhembi District, in the North Zone of the capital. The event represents a 28% expansion compared to the 2024 edition and brings together 269 exhibitors across its 11 themed spaces, such as the Market Chat, the Ideas Salon, and the Health and Well-Being Space, which debuts this edition. The event's motto is "A festival of emotions".
The event is organized by the Brazilian Book Chamber (CBL) and RX Brasil, which expect to receive up to 700,000 visitors throughout its duration. The programming features nearly 3,500 hours of activities distributed across themed spaces, including the presence of authors like Conceição Evaristo and emphasis on works like the "Heartstopper" series.
This year, admission becomes cheaper after hours. From Monday to Thursday, starting at 5 PM, the full ticket costs R$ 30 and the half ticket costs R$ 15. The article also mentions that 72% of e-book and audiobook readers use their phones for this purpose, with almost half having already accessed content through unofficial channels.
